  • Eagle Scout: For my Eagle Scout project, I created and designed Buddy Benches and library boxes. Buddy Benches are playground benches for elementary school students to use at recess. The purpose of Buddy Benches is to help to foster friendships. If a student does not have anyone to play with at recess, they can sit on the Buddy Bench. If you see someone sitting on the Buddy Bench, you are supposed to go up to them, and invite them to play with you. Library boxes are wooden boxes with books in them. They are placed next to the Buddy Benches so students sitting there can have something to read. The purpose of library boxes is to increase the literacy rate.
