Hello
About Me
Steven Marshall is a senior pursuing a BA in History from Worcester State University. After graduation, he hopes to become a librarian. Besides his Bachelor of Arts degree, Steven has 12 credits in secondary education classes from Worcester State University. With this, he has extensive experience working with children from all backgrounds. He also has intensive leadership skills that range from being both a Project Manager of a club and an Eagle Scout. He is incredibly organized, flexible, and timely. Steven's interests in the History field are United States history, primarily the Cold War and after. When Steven becomes a librarian, he could see himself working in a few different fields; public librarian, children's librarian, or academic librarian. Steven feels that his educational background, experience working with children, and leadership experience will all come in handy for his future occupation. Steven's dream job would be planning events for a library, and bringing in programs to the library. Classes that Steven has taken that enhance his History degree are US History I, US History II, World Civilization I, World Civilization II, World Civilization III, The Historian's Craft, Citizen Nation, Massachusetts History, English History I, English History II, International Relations Theory, Globalization, Travels in Asia, Introduction to Public History, and Introduction to Video. Steven has a firm belief that presidencies and wars are the backbone of history, and they frame time periods. One question that intrigues him about war and American society is why countries go to war. Another question is what forces presidents to choose whether to make the United States and its foreign relations peaceful or not.
